While being scared of the South, venturing down to DC was a big step for me, but it was worth it.
It was my first time going on the metro (but I’ve been on a subway before psh). Although there were people breathing down my neck, it was so peaceful just to watch all the people go about their business.
Almost everywhere you went, you could see the Washington Monument. I think it was a tad bit taller than I was.
Hey, look, it’s my homie!
Aah! Run away or you might get the Getting Run over by Pidgeons® curse! (haha, total property of www.xanga.com/rising_zero)
The animals in DC are not afraid to get close to you, especially when you have food. A squirrel went up to my dad, got on its haunches, and begged for food. It was birazzare, pathetic, and funny.
Fishy museum! I never ceased to be amazed over the thousands of species of fish.
The Capital was the most beautiful building in DC.
The second most beautiful? My future home, bwahaha.
The art museum boggled my mind, and I only had the chance to see a fraction of it. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to take picture, but I did buy some mini art.
I got a panda! His name is Sungjin.
Here’s a pretty cool view from the Old Post office.
Arlington Cemetary was so eery. I searched for a view where you couldn't see endless tombstones, but failed. Not even a panaramic view would do it justice.
The tomb of the unknown was just as eery, but beautiful. The dedication our country has to freedom and those who died for it is extraordinary.
On the way back from DC, I checked out Messiah College. I have to say it’s awesome, and the top college I want to go to. Unfortunately, it’s the hardest to get into, but no worries! That’s what SAT studying and community service is for.
Are you guys doing anything this President's week?
